CDC okays Toyota’s $36.7M assembly plant in PP

Cambodian Special Economic Zone Board (CSEZB) of the Council for Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved registration of an investment project from Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing Co., Ltd to build assembly plants of $36.7 million in Phnom Penh which will recruit around 150 workers. Automotive assembly plants are also located in Pursat, Poipet and Bavet, Svay Rieng province. With expectation of creating 950 jobs, CSEZB approved other four investment projects such as WCFO (Cambodia) Co Ltd worth $3.8 million producing perfume and parts, Thirty-Three Apparels (Cambodia) Co., Ltd worth $2.1 million producing clothes, WCFO ASAMA Co Ltd worth $0.8 million for plastic-made data sending devices in the Royal Group PPSEZ and A& M Clothing Co., Ltd worth $1 million producing clothes in Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone.
