On 05th December 2022, CJBI and CJCC co-organized a Seminar on “5S Kaizen for Service Sector Focusing on Non-Manufacturing Sector”, shared by Mr. Masashi Yamanaka who is a business consultant and an expert in management consulting, organizational development, kaizen as well as training and was involved in ODA projects for about 10 years.

The objective of conducting the seminar was to provide participants with the concept of Kaizen and 5S for establishing and further enhancing their companies’ processes and products as well as a way to boost their organizations’ efficiency.

Mr. Yamanaka shared the presentation on the given topic, including many crucial aspects such as Kaizen’s tools, major tips to start Kaizen in companies and 5S which are sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain. To emphasize how kaizen can enhance accomplishment, he raised a history of involvement of Kaizen into Japanese economic growth and a case study of the TOYOTA, a successful multinational automotive manufacturer. Most importantly, Mr. Yamanaka had a great sharing style to actively engage with participants by arranging groups discussion and a reflection game, showing how Kaizen is a key way to develop capability.

Throughout the diligent arrangement from the internal team and speaker, the seminar was fluidly conducted with the full interaction of the participants in all sessions including the group discussion and sharing session.
