The AEON Mall Mean Chey, also known as AEON 3, in southern Phnom Penh is scheduled to have a soft opening on December 15 by AEON, the largest retailer in Japan. The mall has a $289.6 million investment capital, and development on the 17.4-hectare site along Hun Sen Boulevard in the Meanchey district began at the end of 2019. Political stability, security, peace as well as strong international ties and economic growth required for its progress. This newly built mall would significantly contribute to the growth of the neighborhoods around it by offering desirable options for residing and conducting business, encouraging other significant institutions to expand their presence there, and luring more foreign firms into the Cambodian market.
