A container freight station built under Japanese aid was inaugurated in Sihanoukville Port Special Economic Zone (SPSEZ), which will contribute to business development in the zone and attract more investors, including Japanese, to the province. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Preah Sihanouk Provincial Governor Kouch Chamroeun said the assistance for the container freight station contributed to the development of the province, particularly the Sihanoukville Port SEZ. Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia Ueno Atsushi said this station and AEON warehousing project invested by AEON Mall will contribute, promote and play an important role in the business activities of the port. The growth reflected the active throughput of the ports thanks to an increase in agricultural exports, as well as the export of textile and garment products, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport stated.
