On 22 April, 2023, CJBI jointly organized Seminar on Entrepreneurship Development with Cambodia International Education Support Foundation (CIESF), Lotus Radio FM 100.5, and CJCC. In this event, we are honored to have the presence of H.E UENO Atsushi, the Ambassador of Japan in Cambodia, H.E Dr. MEY Kalyan, Chairman of CJBI, and H.E SHINOHARA Katsuhiro, Vice-Chairman of CJBI.
In this event, four sharing sessions were given by the guest speakers who are the successful entrepreneurs including Mr. IENG Sotheara, Adviser to the Sangha Committees of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Founder of Phum Rumdoul, Phum Sokharavy, Lotus Radio FM 100.5, and the President of CJBI, Mr. OKUBO Hideo, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FORVAL Corporation, Founder and Chairperson of CIESF, Mrs. YIN Daravy, Co-Founder of Phum Rumdoul, and Mr. LIV Chhoung, CEO of Brown Coffee.
Each sharing session provided insightful lessons learned for participants, especially start-ups and entrepreneurs. For instance, the fundamental concept of Business Sammamagg, which was elaborated by Mr. IENG Sotheara, aims to fairly provide benefits to all the relevant stakeholders, including Society, Individuals, and Nature through its main principles which consist of growth, worth, and happiness. Meanwhile, Mr. OKUBO Hideo stressed the importance of 5 core values, especially moral authorities of leadership. More interestingly, Mrs. Yin Daravy inspired women entrepreneurs through the sharing session of tackling all the challenges that she encountered in her business journey. Last but not least, Mr. LIV Chhoung explained about the entrepreneurship mindset from a perspective of young entrepreneur while asking the participants to be aware of themselves, dare to dream and have ambition, as well as hold on a self-discipline.
Overall, it was such a remarkable event in which more than 100 Cambodian and Japanese entrepreneurs attended during the year of 70th Cambodia-Japan anniversary.
