Preah Sihanouk’s new tourist port was officially opened under the presence of the Tourism Minister, Thong Khon. The minister claimed that the tourist sector in Cambodia had expanded rapidly and was a major factor in the growth of the country’s economy by increasing national revenue. This port makes a huge contribution by bringing in a lot of tourists and maintaining order as well as safety for the visitors. In addition, this port offers employment opportunities to locals and aids in the government’s efforts to improve living conditions and reduce poverty in the nation.
