The Governor of Battambang and the Director General of Green Rice Mills met with Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, and other leaders to discuss the current situation of rice prices. The minister advised forming an ecosystem of pure rice varieties, with a focus on pricey and legally accepted kinds like Fragrant Rice and Romdoul. The objective of this meeting is to support farmers in finding a market that benefits everyone and improves the country's economy. During the discussion, the government was advised to give attention to the production of high-quality, properly certified rice in order to meet demand and consumption rather than just concentrating on drying equipment and agricultural gear. During the meeting, the government not only focused on drying equipment and agricultural machinery but was also urged to pay attention to the production of good rice and properly certified to meet demand and consumption.
