Cambodia has affirmed to keep raising the minimum wage for workers in apparel, footwear, and travel goods sectors. The government’s aim is to keep raising the minimum wage for garment workers, Prime Minister Dr Hun Manet stated to a gathering of workers in Phnom Penh. According to Prime Minister Dr. Hun Manet, “the government has tried to gradually increase the minimum wage in order to ensure our competitiveness and growth in the garment sector.’’ This year, the sector’s minimum pay is $200 per month, up from $194 in 2022.
