The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training provided instructions for all factory owners to take action during the hot weather. The five measures include;

1. Open all doors and windows to ventilate the building.

2. Encourage workers to drink plenty of water often — at least 2 liters a day.

3. Spray water on the roof of the building at least twice a day.

4. Ensure the condition of all ventilation systems in the building and have them opened at least one hour before working hours.

5. Assign staff in charge of inspecting the thermometer on a regular basis in the workplace.
