On Tuesday, September 03, 2024, with support from JBAC and CJCC, CJBI successfully hosted the CJBI Business Networking Gathering 2024 under the topic “The Importance of Understanding Tax and Regulation Updates in Building Business Resilience” at the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC).

The event was initiated with the purpose of helping participants to 1). Understand the tax and regulation in building business resilience 2). Grow a resilient business via learning about updated Cambodian tax and regulation for lasting success 3). Create a stable business via mastering skills for long-term sustainability and 4). Seek for business partnership with Japanese companies who are the members of CJBI and JBAC.

Featuring insightful speeches from Mr. VANN Sinat, Head of Tax and Customs at ANANT Law Firm, Mr. CHAN Pagnarith, CEO of IG Trading Co., Ltd, and Mr, RYO Kawahara, Manager of Ernst & Young (Cambodia) Ltd. and the Chairman Taxation Committee in JBAC, the event provided actionable advice and strategies for navigating the evolving regulatory landscape, helping businesses enhance their resilience and growth in a dynamic environment, particularly in Cambodia.

After the speeches, Mr. KURATA Hironobu, Representative of Kurata Pepper Co., Ltd and the Director of Commerce Group of JBAC, facilitated a fruitful and informative discussion with his professional experiences in the business field.
