On July 07, 2022, Cambodia-Japan Association for Business and Investment (CJBI) and Cambodia Aquaculturist Association (CAA) co-organised a seminar on ‘’Possibility of Collaboration between Japanese and Cambodian Companies in the Areas of Aquaculture Business’’ which was supported by Cambodia Fresh Farm and sponsored by Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC). The objectives of this webinar were to provide information on the aquaculture business of Japan and Cambodia and to promote business cooperation between Cambodia and Japan in the Aquaculture Sector.

At the event, our 5 guest speakers gave a lecture about the topics relating to aquaculture and business. The guest speakers respectively were the representatives from CJCC, CAA, Rainbow Progress Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Cambodia Fresh Farm), Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC), and EM research organization. The speakers mentioned some keys beneficial and interesting information about the business environment of Cambodia, the current situation of the aquaculture business in Cambodia, the experience of Cambodia Fresh Farm, the growth strategy of the aquaculture industry in Japan, and the introduction of the aquaculture business of Japanese companies.

The seminar was concluded successfully with an enthusiastic interaction and involvement of the participants and the guest speakers during the Q&A section. Altogether, there were around 80 participants from both Cambodia and Japan participating.
